logoBig Dutchman is expanding its range of products for modern pig production to include an automated solution for pig house cleaning: following a new partnership with Washpower A/S, ProCleaner X150 will be distributed worldwide by Big Dutchman in future. The cleaning robot features two cleaning arms with automatic obstacle detection and is particularly easy to use. At EuroTier, the partners will be presenting their collaboration and the new technology for the first time.

With ProCleaner X150, Washpower has opened a new chapter in automated livestock house cleaning. The company, based in mid-western Denmark, developed a first prototype as early as 2008 and has been continuously refining its robots ever since. More than 2,000 units of the X100, P200 and X150 models are now in use the world over.

One of the key strengths of ProCleaner X150 is its ease of use. The robot does not require any complex programming. Once the water supply has been connected and the type of house selected, cleaning can begin straight away, making the robot flexible, user-friendly and particularly quick to use.

The ProCleaner X150 robot, which is made of stainless steel, has two cleaning arms and an automatic obstacle detection system. Four sensors recognise obstacles and enable the arms to retract individually. The washing process can continue without the robot having to come to a complete stop every time it encounters an obstacle. Depending on the capacity of the high-pressure pump used, simultaneous cleaning with both arms is possible. As this allows the robot to work on two sides at the same time, it is twice as fast as other cleaning robots currently available on the market. The cleaning speed is significantly higher than with single-arm washing – an important advantage when there is only a limited period available for cleaning between two batches.

The battery-powered robot weighs 280 kilogrammes and has a minimum operating time of 20 hours. Its compact dimensions and integrated lifting hooks make it easy to transport and move around the farm. High-quality materials and a low-maintenance design help ProCleaner X150 to withstand the rigours of daily use.
